Convened by Erick Carreras, Co-created by the CanMex Lab and Bilateral Lab Community

This document reports on the findings of an asynchronous public consultation survey that span topics of equity, diversity, and inclusion for youth in Canada and Mexico. The survey was made available for three weeks during the month of July 2021. The distribution was via social media, personal and professional networks of the Canadian and Mexican Youth Delegates, and the CanMex Youth Lab as a whole. The data summarizes the interests, by monthly topic, and both, social and geographic diversity of the current CanMex Youth Lab community. The keystone finding surrounds having  provided youth the opportunity to vote on if they would like to ban conversion therapy in Canada and Mexico, with 81% in support of banning conversion therapy. The CanMex Youth Lab, thus recommends that both the Government of Canada and Government of Mexico ban conversion therapy in both countires, and lead by example in the global community as we continue to work towards the full realization and implementation of the human rights around the world, together.
